[gradsusr] spatial and time series plot

mmm,
control file is kind of "handler" for your dataset, it has't any to do
with how you want to plot your data
in other words the control file is built to handle the dataset, not to
manage your plotting preferences

You can divide your page into 2 using set parea o set vpage (see
manual) and you could plot different things, also from different
dataset, in any of the two ...
