[gradsusr] Font issue

Hi,

I have an annoying problem when I try defining a new font. I can draw
strings without issue, however if I were to display a grid full of values
with that font it would display this error message:

*Error: Unable to open font file "Vera.ttf"*
* Will use a default "sans-serif" font instead*
*Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file*

I have tried numerous other fonts and the same problem occurs. I have also
tried reinstalling OpenGrADS but have had no luck. Does anybody know why
this is happening and how to fix it?
