Hi Kishore,

1) Precipitation:

For gauge data, check GPCC, 
http://gdata1.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/daac-bin/G3/gui.cgi?instance_id=GPCC_Monthly
For remote sensing data,

TRMM:

a)Giovanni-TOVAS: http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/precipitation/tovas 
(quick plots and analysis). Note: GPCP is available there as well.
b) subsetting: http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/SSW/
c) data ordering: http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov/

2) Evaporation

Search "evaporation" in SSW (http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/SSW/). We 
have some reanalysis data there.
