CPU Performance

I'm curious if anyone has any performance information with GrADS on a 64 bit
OS vs 32 bit OS, and if GrADS is capable of using a multi-core processor?



Is it best to get a fast single core machine, or does it actually utilize
all the cores of a multi-core processor?



This may be a stupid question, but I'm fairly new to Linux so I'm not sure
if the individual programs need to be programmed to utilize the processor
like they do under Windows.
