X11 libraries needed for buidling GrADS v1.9 & v2.0x

Hi,

Just curious what are the MINIMUM set of X11 libraries needed to build
either version of GrADS?



Also, this might be a stupid question, but I need this confirmed:  Is it
even necessary to install the full-blown X Window system in order to simply
run GrADS remotely, using ssh w/ X11 forwarding? Up until know, Ive simply
been using 'yum groupinstall "X Window System" ' on fedora in order to get
the libraries for GrADS, and this installs a LARGE amount of additional
packages used by XWin, but now I'd like to to avoid this, and just install
what I need to build & run GrADS without installing XWindows (or at least a
minimum set of X11 libs).



Im guessing/hoping it IS possible to completely avoid install the XWin
package, and just run my XServer remotely using ssh (in my case, putty w/
XMing on a windows box). Is this correct?
