ctl files are text. I guess you mean the binaries they refer to. There is no
turn key utility to make such conversion but there have been a couple of
solutions in the list recently (one using a GrADS script, another using
Python). Search for a message with subject
Output txt specific formaton or around Feb 14th, 2008.
