Help with `RECL`

What Fortran compiler are you using? The RECL specifier is on a continued line using the fortran 77 fixed-format style. There may be a problem with this if your compiler is expecting the code to be written in free format (Fortran 90) style. Every Fortran 90 compiler has a command line option to specify fixed or free format. You should specify the fixed-format option for your code.

Subject: Fw: Help with `RECL`

Dear All,

I have earlier on requested for assistance on the `RECL` error I get on
compiling my FORTRAN program. Can anybody assist in writing a FORTRAN
program that will convert the attached demo.txt file into .dat file for
GrADS to use.

Thank you in anticipation of your favourable response.

Dear All,

Can anyone help me with the attached FORTRAN program. When I compiled it gives me error like this:

`Invalid radix specifier `recl`, and that `recl` must operate on two
subexpressions type, but the subexpresssion type at `recl` is not of
character type.

I also have attached the sample of data i`m trying to using the program to read.

Thank you for your anticipated favourable response to my request.
