Producing a movie

Hello all,
i want to produce an animation using GRAds. I have a grads output meta
file  with several frames included, and i miss the last step in order to
have an animation. Can i have a help on that? which program should i use
to have a gif or an mpeg animation?
Or my way to have a single grads metafile with all frames included in
the same file is totally wrong?
