Michiko,

With that fine a contour interval and the noisiness of the data you are
trying to plot, I think you are asking too much of "gxout shaded".  If
you instead use "gxout grfill", which will fill the entire grid box with
one color (rather than squeeze 10 or 15 colors between two gridpoints),
your script runs successfully with cint=0.05.

If needed, I can try Jennifer's suggestion to double the value of XYBMAX
in gxshad.c when I have time to work on the new builds.
