Off-topic - broken link Nomad 3?

Hello Eric,
Just for some background while I'm on this GrADS list- the NOMADS
Project has an especially very close collaboration to NCEP's _nomad_
servers and we here at the Climate Center (NCDC) where Dan resides, are
working to also improve the access to this very important dataset. Of
course COLA has been a founding partner in NOMADS as well as many
others. The idea is that the nomad"x" servers at NCEP to real-time and
the nomad*s* servers here at the Climate Center provide historical
access at: http://nomads.ncdc.noaa.gov/

COLAS also has quite a bit of data as well.

In any event- NCEP is currently working to increase it's availability to
these data from an operational viewpoint and such considerations
(availability, security etc.) take a bit longer. Here at NCDC (already
an operational system for the most part) we are also soon increasing the
on-line data access (10TB)- but again that won't be ready available
hopefully in 1-2 months.

I think you may be able to find your 1degree data at the nomads site
referenced above. Drop a note if you encounter problems to
nomads.ncdc at noaa.gov

Best regards, Glenn
