No that was for another point (statically linking wgrib2).

You have to go to the grib2/wgrib2 sourcedir. There remove the
"-ffast-math" from the makefiles.
Then in the wgrib2 srcdir do "make clean" and "make".

The problem is in wgrib2, not in GrADS.
