Fw: Grib to NetCDF files

Hi,
Can you open the grib data in grads and plot it OK? That is a test to make
sure that you are pointing to the data properly. If it doesn't open in
grads, lats4d likely won't work either.

The first thing I see in your ctl file that could be a problem is: index ^
lats4d.gs

Change this to "index ^filename.idx"  then run gribmap -i filename.ctl  (you
should do this for all your ctls that you want to convert to nc, and make
sure they open in grads)

If all opens well in grads the command you have should work. However, I
would suggest running

lats4d -nc -i filename.ctl -o filename
