Yes, now it works! No error message and we get a grib file as an output.

The only strange thing remaining is that my fields appear to be upside
down. I don't know whether this "problem" is related to my visualization
package or with the grib generation process itself (which is
"grads-oriented"). But no big deal; this very afternoon I managed to sort
that out because the "grads_grib" option also generates such an inverted
field for my visualization package, and now I have a simple program
inserted in my shell_script to correct that.

In summary, now both "grib" and "grads_grib" options from lat4d produce
the same field.
