Weird output from GrADS

Dear Dr Charles Seman,

     Of late I encountered a few unusual outputs from
GrADS and I could not find the cause of the error.
Opportunity came when I tried to regenerate Figure 2a
of Dr Zhang Chidong's paper entitled "Madden-Julian
Oscillation".  My output is totally different from
that of Dr Zhang.  I am pleased to attach the relevant
Figure from Dr Zhang, my own output together with the
script and .ctl files.  Appreciate it greatly if you
could kindly assist to show me how to rectify my
mistakes.
