GRADS on RHEL4

Has anyone used GRADS on RHEL4 successfully ?

I've compiled GRADS on RHEL4-x64 with only classic gradsc support,
and gradsnc compile had been very problematic, so is hdf4, which doesn't
seem to like gcc4-gfortran that came with RHEL4 .

any pointers ?
