Calculating Azim-Averaged fields

Hello GrADS users,

I'm writing to ask for help in calculating azimuthally-averaged fields (mostly interested in radial winds). I'm dealing with hurricane vortex data (in x-y or lat-lon coordinates) and have been struggling writing some code to calculate any azim-averaged field. I'd appreciate if any of you has some template code I could use or give me any suggestions that could help me solve this problem.

Thanks,
Pedro
