[gradsusr] Problem with the average

Dear Grads users,

I'm using these codes to generate two spatial averages at different times


>> define medBr1979=ave((maskout(utcic,BR(t=1)-0.5)),t=1,t=8736)

and

>> define medBr1980=ave((maskout(utcic,Br(t=1)-0.5)),t=8737,t=17520)

but i got the same results in both.
Where is the problem?

I'll appreciate any help.
