[gradsusr] Generating lat lon with wgrib2 -lola

Hi,

I'm using wgrib2 with -lola to generate a lat lon grid like this:

wgrib2 met.grb -lola LonSW:#lon:dlon LatSW:#lat:dlat met1.grb grib

LonSW is the longitude of the SW point
#lon is the number of longitude points
dlon is the spacing of the longitude points in degrees

(Same options for Lat)

The following warnings are returned:

**WARNING gctpc only does spherical Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area.
**WARNING wgrib2 with Proj4 does aspherical earth: -proj4 1
1:0:d=2021050603:PRMSL:mean sea level:2 hour fcst:

I'm able to use alt_g2ctl.pl and alt_gmp.pl to generate the ctl and idx
files. I can then open successfully in GrADS and plot. However, much of the
grid does not have data, even though the specified dimensions were correct.

The original grib file is in Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area or ‘Azimuthal’
projection. Therefore, I am guessing that something is getting messed up
and the gctpc warning ( gctpc only does spherical Lambert Azimuthal Equal
Area ) is relevant.

Any suggestions / pointers for what is going wrong would be appreciated?

Thanks

Brian
