[gradsusr] grads 2.2.1 can't change line thickness

Dear GrADS users,

I just installed GrADS version 2.2.1 on Mac Mojave (a much overdue update from version 2.0.1 I have been running for years).

Things seem to be working okay, except that I cannot increase the thickness of lines. This includes map lines, contour lines, etc. I've changed the thickness from 3 to 12 (the old range) and from 13-256 (the new range), but the line thickness doesn't change.

Does anyone know what my problem may be and how I could resolve it?
