[gradsusr] fprintf Command Not Found

Hello,

I'm using GrADS v2.2.1 and trying to output values to a text file using
the fprintf command. This has worked for my scripts using OpenGrADS on
Windows but now running it on my linux machine I get this error:
"Unknown command: fprintf". 

Script: 
'sdfopen
http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/dods/gfs_0p25_1hr/gfs20191023/gfs_0p25_1hr_12z'
'set lat 43.0 43.5'
'set lon -76.5 -76.0'
'fprintf (tmp2m-273.15)*(9/5)+32 output.txt'
