Things worked fine with '-d X11'. Thanks so much for the help. I've
renamed bin/grads to bin/grads.exe and replaced grads with ...
#!/bin/bash
$GRADS_HOME/bin/grads.exe -d X11
where GRADS_HOME is set in the environment per the user facing module
file. I've assumed, since it works, that nothing else in the installation is
sensitive to a name change for the real executable.
Thanks and Happy New Year!
Best regards,
Phil
