Hi Jeff,

I was using some syntax I found in this tutorial here: http://gradsaddict.blogspot.com/2013/05/tutorial-draw-sea-level-pressure-map.html

When I add the "run," I simply get "Error opening script file: mfhilo". I also get that when I add a "run" in front of the syntax on Mike's page describing this function: http://stream.princeton.edu/AWCM/LIBRARIES/grads-2.0.1.oga.1/Contents/Resources/Documentation/opengrads/doc/udxt/libmf/

<http://stream.princeton.edu/AWCM/LIBRARIES/grads-2.0.1.oga.1/Contents/Resources/Documentation/opengrads/doc/udxt/libmf/>

Thank you very much!

Charlie

Subject: Error with mfhilo function

Hi all,

I'm having trouble using Mike Fiorino's mfhilo function. I'm creating a chart showing 500 mb vorticity and heights and would like to plot the maximum and minimum heights.

When I call mfhilo, I get the error:

"libquadmath.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
"Unknown command: mfhilo"

An example of the code I am using is:

''sdfopen http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov:9090/dods/gfs_0p25/gfs20170224/gfs_0p25_12z'

'set lev 500'

'mfhilo absvprs/100 CL I 1000, 300'

'say result'

The full code is here: https://github.com/WeatherTogether/model-charts/blob/master/500mbvort.gs

I am using OpenGrads 2.1.0.oga.1 on Linux Mint.

I apologize if I am missing something simple; I am very new to Grads and programming in general!

Thanks for your help,
Charlie Phillips
