[gradsusr] xdfopen error

Jim,

Before I posted the query, I have tried all that sorts of things. My
understanding is that GrADS likes 'slashes' but accepts 'backslashes' as
well.

It is reporting the ERROR before scanning the descriptor file. I think the
ERROR has something got to do with '*gadxdf*', whatever it is.
