[gradsusr] set xaxis and set log1d

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a trick. I seem to recall having
experienced this issue myself, but I thought I got it working. Try 'set
log1d off' first before entering 'set log1d logv' just in case you need to
reset. Also try upgrading to v2.1.a3 or even the newest version.
