It’s orthographic projection.
‘Set mproj orthogr’

Lat MUST be set to -90 90 and lon MUST span a range of exactly 180 degrees, e.g. ‘set lon 0 18’, or ‘set lon -30 150’…

I don’t know how the pole tilt was achieved. I’m guessing a control file was written to remap latitude offset by 60 degrees, because lat must be -90 90

Dear grads users,

I found this image posted here a while back. Does anyone know what map projection this is, and what other parameters need to be specified in order to produce it? It looks like a satellite view of the earth centered over a particular latitude and longitude, but it's not at all clear from the grads documentation how to specify the center point.
