[gradsusr] how to calculate the correlation of two time-space hovmoller diagrams?

Dear grads community,


I have two datasets with dimensions of (time, latitudes)  or (t, y), and want to calculate the correlation between them, which is effectively a spatial-temporal correlation coefficient.


but scorr() and tcorr() only calculate the spatial correlation and temporal correlation, respectively.


what I want is a single value.


what do I do?


Any pointers would be much appreciated!
