A different approach to naming file to save each time step.



Before loop 
Valid = 0
date = 'expression for the date of the run

End of loop create a variable for valid (valid hour for forecast)

Valid = valid + 3				for the 0.25 degree each
step is 3hrs


Insert at end of loop to save time step

Pathn='C:\Users\public\server\areadiscription\precipitation\0.25\'
Filen='area_0.25_prec_'date '+'Valid '.png' 				

I use ACDSee to display images ... the file name using the above system
shows
In the display window a full description of the file. Valid hour is more
intuitive than count. ...
