Dear Jose,

I don't know whether it works or not, but give it a try with CDO ....

cdo -f nc import_binary xxxxxxx.ctl yyyyyyy.nc

cdo -f nc -sellonlatbox,0,360,-90,90 -random,r128x91 template.nc (change r
values according to your resolution)

cdo -remapcon,template.nc yyyyyyy.nc your_desired_file.nc
