Srivatsan,
Thank you for your help, xconv has worked well but I have noted that it is not it  indictaing coordinates limits of the data. How can I do this?

Dear Charles,

You can use ‘xconv’. See this: http://badc.nerc.ac.uk/help/software/xconv/

It’s a small software…1 min to download and run.

Open the netcdf, choose option ‘GrADS’- Apply-Convert.

Yes, it works if you have multiple pressure levels.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Sri

Subject: [gradsusr] How to combine several variables using NARROPEN.GS

Dear Grads Users,
I have a *.nc file with several variables as shown below.
ga-> q file
File 1 :
  Descriptor: c:/Grads/output(5).nc
  Binary: c:/Grads/output(5).nc
  Type = Gridded
  Xsize = 7  Ysize = 8  Zsize = 1  Tsize = 670  Esize = 1
  Number of Variables = 10
     u10  0  t,y,x  10 metre U wind component
     v10  0  t,y,x  10 metre V wind component
     d2m  0  t,y,x  2 metre dewpoint temperature
     t2m  0  t,y,x  2 metre temperature
     blh  0  t,y,x  Boundary layer height
     cape  0  t,y,x  Convective available potential energy
     cp  0  t,y,x  Convective precipitation
     parcs  0  t,y,x  Clear sky surface photosynthetically active radiation
     sund  0  t,y,x  Sunshine duration
     tcc  0  t,y,x  Total cloud cover
ga-> d t2m
Contouring: 292 to 298.5 interval 0.5

How can I convert such kind of a file to grads .ctl  without changing the content?
What if I have different pressure levels, can narropen.gs do such kind work? How?
