Yes, that's right. Udunits2 will not work with GrADS. But why do you need to build from source, have you tried the binary executables for linux (the CentOS for 64-bit and i686 for 32-bit)?

GrADS uses version 1.x.x of UDUNITS. How about you try to find other packages or try to install from source.
utInit subroutine exists with version 1 only in my case.

Dear professor,

     I’m sorry to trobule you that I have 3 problems about the installation of ‘grads-2.0.2’ which is dowloaded from http://grads.iges.org/grads/downloads.html  on Ubuntu 13.10 system.

1)    I have already use ‘sudo apt-get install udunits-bin libudunits2-0 libudunits2-dev’ to install ‘udunits’ on system. When I ‘./configure’ grads-2.0.2, However, It appears the problems such as follows :

2)I have already use ‘sudo apt-get install shapelib’ to install it on system,

When I ‘./configure’ grads-2.0.2, However, It appears ‘- shapefile disabled’

3)I have already install ‘curl, xml2, dap, gadap’ from the website http://www.iges.org/grads/gadoc/supplibs.html ,However, It appears ‘- OPeNDAP disabled’

What’s reason about the problems? How can I solve the problems? Would you please help me?

I will be very happy if I can hear from you as soon as possible.Thanks.
