Yes your suggestion is right. If you create a folder outside opengrads where your data files will and can also create for output separately if you wish. To read your  .ctl  files then you would just issue acommand like: open (your path directing to your .ctl ). Both .gs and .ctl should be in same folder.
To run the script the give same command: run (then path to your .gs script then enter.) Sometimes writing whole path helps.

I hope this helps

Cheers!
Charles

But it is not working for .ctl files. I am finding difficulty in keeping all my .ctl files in opengrads folder.

should I do some path settings. So that where ever i want i can change the directory and simply use open command without giving detailed path.

All,

I installed OpenGrads for Windows. I usually use GrADS on a Linux platform so this is all new to me. It installed successfully and the usual control and display windows show up. But how do I run a script? I.e. what directory (folder) do I move them to so that Windows can find them?? Or is there a way I can tell OpenGrads where the scripts live?

Thanks in advance,
Sytske
