[gradsusr] no discernable X coordinate

Hi ,

Andrew, I still couldn't make it. But I didn't find the scripts from Jennifer... :/ Does anybody have them? My problem is about data from CMIP5, some of them have 365_day calendar and also no discernable X coordinate and I cannot open these files in Grads.

Thank you!

 Hi Anca,

One option is for you to
specify directly the longtidue gridpoints using the XDEF
 LEVELS option:
 http://www.iges.org/grads/gadoc/descriptorfile.html#XDEF

However, you may also be able
to use some scripts by Jennifer Adams for CMIP5 output:
See this posting from the listserve: http://gradsusr.org/pipermail/gradsusr/2013-January/017089.html

 Here’s more information
 about pre-projected data in GrADS:

pages long;what you have in the file is only a snapshot)...
What does it means? How should I write the X coordinate in
the descriptor file? I have to say that I use data from
 CMIP5, rcp85 for sst.

In this case, I only specified TDEF since the X and Y
dimensions were ok in the original. You can follow the same
 procedure for any dimension.
