[gradsusr] GFS ensemble data on Monsoondata [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]

Hi Jennifer,

Your reply just reminded me to ask you if that's also the same reason (i.e. limited resources) why the GFS ensemble data on Monsoondata only goes out to 192 hours rather than its normal full span of 384 hours?
I use sometimes use the GFS ensemble data from Monsoondata OPeNDAP/DODS Data (http://monsoondata.org:9090/dods/gfsens)<http://monsoondata.org:9090/dods/gfsens/gfsens.2013090312.info> via GrADS 2.0.1.oga.1 for Windows as a backup when there's problems with the NOMADS servers and was just curious about the 192hr span.

Ken.

The resources on the server are limited, so I periodically delete old data that is not being accessed very often. There are no plans to restore the old data. Next time I'll leave more than a few months online at chopping time. I think the NOMADS servers (either at NCEP or NCDC) may have GFS data that go back further than monsoondata.org<blocked::http://monsoondata.org/>.
