[gradsusr] running the ttest.equal_variances.gs

Hi grad user
I am running the script for  

  ttest.equal_variances.gs.  f


 significance level of  0.01 and find the  cutoff t value.
      
     
Wen I come to the grads script and try to open my to .ctl files as 
open d:/vorticity/stddata.ctl
open d:/vorticity/umst7811.ctl
I tried to chnage the details of xi,x2, s1and s2 to fit my data 
when I execute the script the grads crash out without giving any information.
I have tried several ways doing the same .
I am suspecting one problem that my stndata.ctl has six vatiables of equal TDEFF, but I fail to tell the grads to pick which varialble
is any one with a surgestion on how I can do this?
