[gradsusr] problem in displaying variables

Ok, T.,

you will have to download the FNL GRIB 1 file again. Don't do any conversion with it. The FNL files can be directly seen in GrADS. Your .ctl file is ok.
I don't know what kind of "conversion" you did, but certainly it is not necessary, since the fnl files, with that _c as suffix, are already in GRIB 1 format.

All you have to do after downloading the FNL file is to run gribmap again:
gribmap -i <yours>.ctl

Try this, please, and let us know if it works or not.

Greetings,
Ricardo

I have a question; the source fnl file has a size of 23 MB, but after converting it to a ctl and an idx file, each of them has a size of just seven kb, is it correct and acceptable? I think maybe the converting process has not been done correctly.
