[gradsusr] problem with grads installation

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your quick response. Actually, one of our system users needs this version precisely because some of his netcdf files are handled in this version quite nicely than the latest version. Let me know if there is any hope of having this version built on an X86 machine.

Version 1.9 is so old and not being actively supported anymore. It looks like the X11 interface may be the problem since GrADS started up but dumped core when it tried to intialize the graphics. Try using the most recent version instead. Please see http://iges.org/grads/downloads.html .
