for X11 display:
        set display gray white
        clear

for the palette:
        set ccolor rainbow
or:
set ccolor revrain (old command: it doesn't seem to have any
        affect on grads2)

for eps output:
        gxeps -b ...

if you want to produce a custum palette you can, e.g.:
        set rgb 20 ...
        set rgb 21 ...
        ...
        set rgb 30 ...
        set rbcols 20 21 ... 30
or:
        set ccols 20 21 ... 30
        set clevs ...

bye bye
