[gradsusr] g2ctl and gribmap errors

Dear Grads support, 

I have two problems. 
1 .

I want to open/plot a grib2 file in grads in AIX. 
data file: T574_IND_00h.grb2 
I downloaded a pearl script the script to create ctl

Problem 2: 
I have a grib file 
bash-3.2$ ls -l T254_IND_114h.grb 
-rw-r--r-- 1 swati hpcs 19619338 Nov 26 2010 T254_IND_114h.grb 
Kindly let me know where I can get the right script to convert to ctl and then gribmap. 

I downloaded grib2ctl.pl from CPC website but this gives syntax error. 
I also tried with some other sites and used the grib2ctl.pl could not run them, they all give mismatch parenthesis errors.
