[gradsusr] plotting multiple variables in the same figure

I wouldn't think it would be necessary to use gxout shaded if you want to
save data to shapefiles.  When you open the shapefile in another program
like ArcGIS, you'll have the option to use a different set of colors then,
right?

I suppose otherwise you could try
'set gxout shaded'
'd var'
'set gxout shp'
'd var'
and see if that makes a difference.
