Make sure you draw the basemap (better yet, use shapefiles) first, then
plot the tracer concentration on top. You can also try
pygrads<http://opengrads.org/wiki/index.php?title=Python_Interface_to_GrADS>and
draw concentrations on top of a blue marble as in this
screenshot <http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengrads/screenshots/153722>.
