Dear Majid,
I don't know what is the format of your data and what you mean by "I want
to plot a line graph showing a single averaged value against a year." but
if it is in netcdf format, try using CDO with the syntax "CDO info
inputfile" or "CDO info inputfile > outputfile.txt" to obtain the dataset
information, then you will have a txt file that you can manipulate, let's
say with Excel...
