[gradsusr] Fw: computing anomaly

hello all,
while trying to compute anomaly from climatological mean, i used the following;
'open file'
'set time jan79 dec79'
'define preclim=ave(pre,t+0,time=dec2011,12)'

'modify seasonal preclim'

and it says the defined grid seasonal not found.

so what do i do?
