[gradsusr] Creating a .ctl file for unstructured triangulargrid in NetCDF format

what is the speed-penalty for doing this compared to interpolating to a
regular grid off-line
and duplicating/upsizing the original triangular grid?

GrADS does not handle unstructured triangular grids. The only way you
can look at this data with GrADS is to convert it into station data
format and treat each grid point as an individual observation.
