[gradsusr] gr2stn() issues when drawing bars.

I am producing a meteogram with gr2stn for specific lon lat . ie/ d
gr2st(tmpprs-273.16),lon, lat)

This works for temperature and while the interpolations are correct for
precipitation . the gxout bar
Is defaulting to a line output. 
Z level fixed t as a range . 'set t 1 16' 

As I say the interpolation works fine . I added cont
'd gr2stn (const(apcpsfc, 0,-u), lon, lat)

Any ideas whats going on?
