[gradsusr] How to calculate Terciles in the GrADS?

I'm doing a script for the GrADS Tertile to calculate, but when I ask
him to do an assignment, for example, if (a <b) make the value -1 if
(b <a <c) do and the value 0 (a> c) make the value 1. What I want is
to do this, however when I generate if the values ​​with the error.

Would anyone have a clue.
