[gradsusr] installing GrADS on Ubuntu 10.4

hello all user
please some one help me about installing GrADS 2.0.a9 on Ubuntu 10.4
I am new with linux,
I have make a GrADS directory in /home/
I have use grads-2.0a9.1-bundle-x86_64-suse10.2-linux-gnu.tar.gz
version of GrADS for installation.
after copy 'Contents' to /home/Grads/ directory
export  PATH=/home/opengrads:$PATH

when I type opengrads in Therminal :
./opengrads
opengrads: missing required directory
 </home/modis/openGrADS/Linux/i686>
     --->  at ./opengrads line 157.

and there is no /i686/ dir in Linux directory


please tell me know how I can fix this problem
please guide me step by step installing grads on linux
