[gradsusr] (no subject)

Hello,
I am having trouble opening the globally-merged TRMM IR data files with grads.  I recently downloaded all o f the files for June of 2006 from:  http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/mirador/presentNavigation.pl?tree=project&dataset=Global-merged%20IR%20Brightness%20Temperature%20Data&project=TRMM&dataGroup=Ancillary&version=001&CGISESSID=559e198c73b9961d223704eaaa07b51a

I am using the script and .ctl file attached.  In the script I desire to plot  TRMM data and then plot lightning from the WWLLN.
I have carefully checked to see that the files to be opened are in the correct paths:
I am getting the following errors after running lightning_trmm_00zJune01.gs:

Open Error:  Missing or invalid dimension starting value
  --> The invalid description file record is:
  --> TDEF 1000000  LINEAR   02z01June2006 30mn

  The data file was not opened.
SET Error:  No files open yet
SET Error:  No files open yet


The .ctl is in a format suggested by the following site: http://disc.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/precipitation/Globally_merged_IR.shtml
Any suggestions on how to get the grads script to open the files would be great.
