[gradsusr] interpolate data in grads

Dear,
I have model and observation data and i would like get the same resolution for 
model and observation before doing other calculate. So i use the lterp command 
in grads 2.07.
exemple:
for model
define model=grid
for obs i did:
define aa=lterp(obs,model)
d aa
therefore i get this error:

define pre=lterp(pr.1,data)
Data Request Error: Invalid grid coordinates
  World coordinates convert to non-integer  grid coordinates
    Variable = data  Dimension = 3 
Operation Error:  Error from lterp function
  Error ocurred at column 1

Does it another way to interpolate date at the same grid with grads.
