[gradsusr] sdfopen on opengrads 2.0.a9.oga.1 RHEL5

I tried this on our RHEL5 machine and I had no problem. Could you send the
output of

uname -a
ldd --version

Also, nomads servers are notorious from having glitches from time to time.
Have you tried repeating this command at different times?
