[gradsusr] Enable netcdf 4.1.1 option in grads configure file

Hi i'm using grads 2.0a8 and i'm trying to view forecast output files from the COSMO  weather forecast model which are in netcdf format (eg lfff00120000.nc) 12hr forecast.I presume in order to use the sdfopen option to view these files i first must enable the netcdf option during the configuration stage of building grads.I not sure about how to do this and also are there other options i should also enable?
